Introduction to Table and Global Factors

Sigmafine uses information stored in reference database tables and in the Global Factors Element for some of the calculations needed by the analysis rules and data references.

The Element SF_GlobalFactors stores the common global factors for the Sigmafine analysis and computation.

The database tables are listed below and defined in this appendix.

  • VCF Factor Tables – The Sigmafine Data Reference uses the tables named SF_VCF Section 1 and SF_VCF Section 3 in the calculation of the volume correction factor (VCF).
  • Steel Data Table – The Sigmafine Data Reference uses the table named SF_Steel Data in the calculation of the Tank Shell Correction.
  • Component Table – The table, named SF_Component Table, maintains the list of component materials and their properties for component material analysis.
  • Materials Table – The table, named SF_Material Table, maintains the list of materials and material information for analysis and computations.
  • Cost Center Tables – The table, named SF_CostCenter, maintains the list of cost centers in a Sigmafine database.
  • Mode of Transportation Table – The table, named SF_TransportMode, maintains the list of transportation modes for material transfers.
  • Tank Strapping Tables – The table, named SF_\<Tank_Name> Strapping Table, maintains strapping table information for tanks that are configured to use the Sigmafine Tank Volume from Gauge Data Reference. The information consisting of level and corresponding volume is provided in a separate table for each tank.
  • Sigmafine Balance Table – The Sigmafine Balance Analysis Rule uses the table named SF_SigmafineBalance to contain the available balances that can be selected in the Sigmafine Balance Analysis rule configuration. The table defines the basis of the analysis (UOMClass) and stores the default Attribute names for the analysis.
  • Energy Balance Table – The Energy Balance Analysis Rule uses the table named SF_EnergyBalance to contain the default settings for the configuration of the Energy Balance Analysis Rule.
